Privacy Policy

Last updated August 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from our wedding guests, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the text messages we send to guests who have shared a mobile number with us.

Who We Are

This website is operated by Mason Stallmo and Alexandria Hartsworm (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for the single purpose of planning and hosting our wedding on October 10, 2026 at The Astor Club in Chicago, Illinois.

We are private individuals, not a business. We collect information only to plan our wedding and communicate with the people we have invited. We have no commercial interest in your information and we do not sell it.

Information We Collect

We only collect information that you give us, or that our guest-list and messaging tools generate in the course of contacting you.

Contact information

Your name, mailing address, email address, and mobile phone number. You provide this when you RSVP, when you reply to our invitation, or when you give it to us directly.

Wedding and event details

Your RSVP status, the names of the guests in your party, meal selections, dietary restrictions and food allergies, accessibility needs, and any notes or requests you send us.

Text messaging information

If you have given us your mobile number and agreed to receive texts, we keep a record of the messages we send you, their delivery status, and your current opt-in or opt-out status. Our messaging provider processes this information on our behalf in order to deliver the messages.

Website information

Our website host may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes. This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics, and we do not track you across other websites.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Send you informational text messages about our wedding, such as schedule reminders, venue and transportation details, and day-of logistics.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing unrelated to our wedding, profiling, or automated decision-making. We do not sell, rent, or trade it.

Text Messaging Privacy

If you have consented to receive text messages from us, the following applies specifically to that information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as our messaging provider, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We use Twilio Inc. as our messaging provider to deliver texts on our behalf. Twilio processes your mobile number and message content solely to transmit our messages, under its own privacy commitments, and is not permitted to use your information for its own marketing.

Your mobile number, your consent to receive texts, and your opt-out status are never shared with wedding vendors, other guests, data brokers, or anyone else.

You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP. See our Terms and Conditions for the full messaging terms.

How We Share Information

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us operate this website and send messages act on our behalf and only for those purposes — currently our messaging provider (Twilio), our website host (Cloudflare), and our online RSVP and registry service (The Knot). Each handles your information under its own privacy policy.
  • Wedding vendors. Our venue, caterer, and transportation providers receive only what they need to serve you — for example, guest names for seating and check-in, headcounts, meal selections, and dietary restrictions or allergies. They do not receive your mobile number for messaging purposes.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or valid legal process.

We do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not sell it.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information only as long as we need it to plan and host our wedding, and for a reasonable period afterward — for example, to send thank-you notes and share photos. After that, we delete it or remove its connection to you.

If you opt out of text messages, we keep a record of that opt-out for as long as necessary to make sure we continue to honor it.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or email us using the address below.
  • Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will take care of it.
  • State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor these requests from any guest, regardless of where you live.

Children’s Privacy

This website and our messaging program are directed at adult wedding guests. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Information about children attending our wedding — such as a name for seating or a meal selection — is provided to us by their parent or guardian.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we limit access to the people helping us plan the wedding. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “last updated” date above.
